Aluminium Wall-Mounted Receiver Gate Post – Garden & Pedestrian Gate (Single Post)

This single aluminium receiver post is designed for the latch/lock side of our Garden & Pedestrian Gates when there is no suitable wall for the gate to close against. It provides a strong, stable point for the lock keep or latch to engage, helping to keep your gate secure and correctly aligned over time.

Like the hinge post, this receiver post is surface-mounted to a wall or structure, so you don’t need to dig holes or concrete in a freestanding post. It’s ideal for finishing the closing side of the gate opening neatly and professionally.

Posts are supplied individually (one post per pack) and come complete with a post cap and all required fittings and fixings. Designed for gates up to 2000mm in height (post height 2100mm).

Sizes available (width options)

All posts are 2100mm high with an 80mm depth, and three width options:

• W25mm
• W50mm
• W75mm

These width options help you fine-tune the opening width so your gate closes cleanly against the post. This is especially useful where the brick-to-brick opening isn’t a standard size.

How to choose the right post size (example)

• If you install one of our Garden & Pedestrian Gates without any posts, allow 30 mm in total for hinges and clearance.
• If you are using a Receiver Gate Post (even if you also add a Hinge Gate Post): allow 20mm for clearance.
• Allow 30mm for hinges and clearance when fitting the gate without a Receiver Gate Post. If you select a Receiver Gate Post (with or without a Hinge Gate Post), the required clearance is 20mm.

Example A – Hinge Gate Post only
Opening width = 855mm

• 800mm (gate)
• 30mm (clearance)
• 25mm (Hinge Gate Post)

= 855mm opening width

Example B – Hinge Gate Post + Receiver Gate Post
Opening width = 870mm

• 800mm (gate)
• 20mm (clearance)
• 25mm (Hinge Gate Post)
