These Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms”) apply when you purchase products from Readymade Gates Limited via www.readymadegates.co.uk (the “Site”). Please read them carefully before placing an order. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
These Terms apply to consumers. If you are buying as a business/trade customer, separate trade terms may apply.

2. Our products
2.1 Product images & colours: Images on the Site are for illustration. Screens can display colours differently. The finish/colour may vary slightly.
2.2 Sizes & measurements: Dimensions shown are intended as guidance. For gates, posts and hardware, you are responsible for checking your opening size and selecting the correct product size before ordering.
2.3 Product updates: We may update specifications or packaging where this does not materially affect performance or safety.
2.4 Availability: All products are subject to availability. If we cannot supply an item, we’ll contact you and refund any payment taken for that item.
3. Using our Site
Your use of the Site is also governed by our Website Terms and Privacy Policy.
4. How we use your personal information
We use your personal information in line with our Privacy Policy.
5. Who can buy
You must be 18 or over to place an order.
6. How a contract is formed
6.1 You can review and correct your order before submitting it.
6.2 After you place an order, you’ll receive an order acknowledgement email. This is not acceptance.
6.3 A contract is formed only when we send you an Order Confirmation (or dispatch confirmation) confirming we have accepted your order.
6.4 If we discover an error (for example pricing or description), we may cancel the order and refund you, or contact you to confirm how you’d like to proceed.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the time you place your order will apply.
8. Delivery
8.1 Delivery area & services: Delivery options and any restrictions (e.g., UK mainland only, excluded postcodes) are shown at checkout or on our Delivery page.
8.2 Delivery dates: Any delivery timeframes are estimates. Delays can happen due to events outside our control.
8.3 Delivery address & access: You must provide an accurate delivery address and ensure safe access for delivery. If delivery cannot be completed due to access issues or no-one being available (where a signature is required), re-delivery or collection charges may apply.
8.4 Risk & responsibility: Risk passes to you once the order is delivered to the address provided.
8.5 Missing items: Please check your delivery and report missing items within 30 days of delivery.
10. Prices & payment
10.1 Prices are shown in GBP and include VAT where applicable.
10.2 Delivery charges (if any) are shown at checkout.
10.3 Payment is taken at checkout using the payment methods offered on the Site.
11. Installation & suitability
11.1 Many products require correct measurement and installation. We provide Installation Guides to help, but you must ensure the product is suitable for your specific site conditions.
11.2 We are not responsible for costs or losses arising from incorrect measurements, incorrect installation, or failure to follow instructions (this does not affect your rights where goods are faulty or misdescribed).
12. Our liability
12.1 We are responsible for foreseeable loss or damage caused by our breach of these Terms or our negligence.
12.2 We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
12.3 We supply products for domestic and private use unless agreed otherwise. If you use products for business purposes, we will not be liable for business losses (e.g., loss of profit).
13. Events outside our control
We are not liable for delays or failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control (for example, severe weather, transport disruption, supplier delays, or industrial action). We will keep you updated where possible.

15. Other important terms

These Terms are governed by English law. Disputes may be brought in the courts of England & Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
