Manufactured from powder-coated aluminium, the gate is built to withstand the UK climate with minimal maintenance. The semi-privacy infill provides an excellent balance of security, privacy, and airflow, making it ideal for residential driveways, private entrances, and modern homes.
Each gate set is supplied fully assembled and can be installed to open inwards or outwards, depending on site requirements. The gate is suitable for manual operation or automation, accommodating a wide range of underground and above-ground gate operators.

Do you offer installation or a site survey?
We don’t provide an installation service or site surveys. Our gates are designed to be straightforward to fit, either DIY or by your chosen installer.

How do I choose the correct gate size for my driveway opening?
Getting the measurements right is important for smooth operation and a clean finish.
Width
- Measure the total width of your opening
- Allow extra clearance so the opening is 50mm wider than the gate’s stated width
This gives room for hinge-side adjustment and spacing between the two gate leaves
Height
- Measure from finished ground level to the top of the opening
- Allow at least 100mm extra height compared to the gate height to accommodate hinge and ground clearance (space at the top and bottom)

Can I fit a combination lock to the gates?
Our gates aren’t set up for combination locks as standard.
The usual lock option is a keyed handle set using a Euro cylinder (typically 70mm with a 50/50 split). If you need something different, speak to your installer first — and feel free to contact us via the Contact Us page for guidance.
What is the thickness of the driveway gates?
Our double driveway gates are typically 55mm thick.

Can I order a custom colour?
Yes, we can supply gates in custom RAL colours on request. If you would like a non-standard colour, please contact our customer service team with the RAL code from the RAL colour chart and the product details. We’ll confirm availability, lead time and pricing before you place your order.
What warranty do you offer?
All Readymade Gates products are covered by our standard 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.

How heavy is each gate?
Gate weights vary by model and size. The most accurate weight is shown on the relevant product page under Gate Weight Table (in kg). This is useful for planning lifting/handling and choosing the right hinges/automation.
What are the delivery times?
Standard delivery for ready-made gates is normally 7–14 days.
If your order includes custom modifications (such as custom width cutting or special colours), delivery is usually 7–21 days.

Can double driveway gates be automated and also used manually?
Yes — our double driveway gates can be installed for manual use or prepared for automation.
Manual operation (recommended):
- 1 × Driveway Gate Lock & Handle Set (factory fitted)
- 2 × Locinox lockable drop bolts
- 1 × Locinox ground stop
Automation-ready:
- A handle set and drop bolts are usually not required
- Requirements depend on the automation type
- Above-ground operators: normally no additional gate accessories needed
- Underground operators: a factory modification is typically required for clearance (your installer should confirm)
What’s included with the gates?
We supply hinge sets to suit different fitting situations:
- Wall-mounted hinges: for fixing to walls or existing posts
- Floor-mounted hinges: for installations between aluminium posts
This ensures you have the correct hinge solution for your setup.
Do I need aluminium posts?
Aluminium posts are only needed if you don’t have suitable supporting walls/existing posts, or if you need to make up the correct opening width where the available gate sizes don’t fill the gap.
Delivery & Return
Delivery
We offer free UK mainland delivery on orders over £29. For orders under £29, a £9.99 delivery charge applies.
Where possible, we use our own Readymade Gates delivery team rather than generic third-party couriers, so your products are handled carefully and placed where you need them at your property.
We’ll send you an update as soon as your order has been dispatched.
Returns
If you’d like to return an item, please contact us within 30 days of purchase. If the goods need to be collected, we’ll arrange a collection from the original delivery address.
A collection fee may apply if you’re returning items that are not faulty or damaged. Your refund will be processed once the products have been returned to our warehouse and inspected. We’ll get in touch to agree a convenient collection date and time.
Please note: for any modified products or custom cut-to-size items, we’re unable to accept returns or cancellations once production has started. If any custom item arrives with a manufacturing fault or damage, we will of course replace the defective parts.
